We fund five programs to aid people with physical disabilities

  • When I had my stroke, everything was upside down and I couldn't think straight. But there was this guy in Spaulding Rehab Hospital (SRH) with armloads of 2-foot teddy bears, and I let him know I wanted one! We're now the guy with the teddy bears, with Amy's Gifts of Hope! We donate over $1,000 a month in gifts of hope to the patients at SRH!
  • We've sponsored our 3rd Intercollegiate Assistive Technology Hackathon this spring! (Assistive Technology helps folks with disabilities do things they can't do on their own.) We're growing our message to more colleges and more clients.
  • We've partnered with the Central MASS Safety Council to give $1,000 in Driver Rehab Grants for financially-challenged folks with disabilities that want to drive again. The feeling of returning to driving is unmatched, yet the expense is not covered by insurance!
  • When the words are bottled up inside you, yet you can't make a sound (following brain injury or stroke), you've likely got aphasia. The Phillips Family Aphasia Program Grants support group aphasia programs at MGH's Institute of Health Professions, Spaulding Rehab Hospital, Boston University's Sargent College, and Emerson Hospital's Aphasia Conversation Group.
  • We offer grants to financially-challenged adults with disabilities to take riding lessons at Windrush Farm, in North Andover, MA. The Therapeutic Riding Grants reduce the cost of a 12-week program significantly, allowing more folks to participate!
